She attained her Bachelors in Creative Writing from California State University, Long Beach and is getting her MFA in Fiction from San Diego State University. Ariel Currently works for The Exposition Review as an Associate Editor and was previously the Nonfiction Editor for RipRap Literary Journal. Setting her stories in Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Big Bear, Etc., Ariel pulls from her real life experience in California in order to examine all the different personalities that can come out of a single place. Her work explores the ordinary but often uses horror and speculative fiction, what’s weird and what’s extraordinary, to do so. She has publications in 22 West Media Magazine, Quibble Literary Journal, Pink Panther Magazine and The Stonecoast Review.
